Placeholder photographs ship with the design system so the style guide has real animals in it. They are not the Taylor family’s dogs or horses. Those can replace the placeholders later.

## License

Every placeholder is from [Unsplash](https://unsplash.com) under the [Unsplash License](https://unsplash.com/license). That license allows commercial use. Attribution is not required; this file keeps it anyway. Do not sell the unaltered files as prints or as a competing stock library.

## Household replacements

Drop a JPEG in `src/photos/household/` named with the slot id:

- `hero-dogs.jpg`
- `dog-field.jpg`
- `dog-portrait.jpg`
- `dog-ridge.jpg`
- `horse-pasture.jpg`
- `cat-window.jpg`

The build uses that file instead of `src/photos/placeholders/` and labels the visible credit “Household photo”. Update `alt` and `caption` in `src/photos/manifest.json` in the same change so the words match the new picture. Leave this credit record in place so the retired placeholder stays documented.
